Got a snake!!! It's a Royal Python (ball python to you Americans) and absolutely gorgeous. She was born at the end of July/beginning of August , captive-bred, and is about 20 inches long. We got her from Contact Pets in Blacon (near Chester) This was a very nice and helpful shop - see linksSat 13th November
Snake is still nameless any suggestions greatly received! Tried feeding her today (fuzzy - dead baby mouse)she doesnt seem 2 interested tho, struck once then gave up - I'll try again on Tuesday!

Wahey - she ate a fuzzy today, scared me slightly coz after she struck for it she was still for about 2 mins (not even signs of breathing)then ate the mouse down :)

Ate another fuzzy today. I'm really pleased at how well she is feeding! Silly snake took the mouse by the middle instead of the head tho and had to spend ages manoeuvring her head about to get to the end of the mouse before she could eat it!
Sun 21st November
Realised that the snake hasn't pooped yet (don't know how often snakes are supposed to poop?!) so gave her a warm bath coz i read that that relieves snake constipation! (nice)
Tue 23rd November
Wednesday weighs 80-90g
After discussions on reptilecrazy forum (such helpful people there) i decided to try feeding her mice instead of fuzzies. Went and bought 4 mice from Pets Parade in Old Swan and defrosted one of top of the viv all afternoon. Offered it to the snake, she struck quickly and ate it beautifully, she's now off in her hide digesting!!!
